Today, we are showing the newest release from the Oris Aquis line – a smaller sized Oris Aquis Date watch, powered by that same proprietary movement but bearing a 41.5mm diameter. Before that – the Oris Aquis Date Calibre 400 launched back in 2020 in its former 43.5 mm-sized case. A few weeks ago, we covered the Oris Aquis ProDate Calibre 400 watch – specifically geared towards the needs of saturation divers. ![]() Oris has been busy outfitting many of its most popular models with this mechanical movement. None more aquatically sophisticated than the Oris Aquis, which last year was endowed with one of the brand’s in-house movements – the Calibre 400, and boy has this movement really come into its own. It delivered on that promise and as a result has produced many an affordably-priced, quality-built mechanical wristwatch. Over forty years ago, Oris promised never to go back to producing any form of quartz watch. When the manufacturer vows to do something – it certainly sticks to its promise. ![]() I applaud Oris watches on so many levels.
